The NFT Academy

10 courses · ranked by evidence

The best NFT courses, honestly ranked

Ten courses, ranked by rating weighted for how many people actually left one. Every entry has its weaknesses written out, and anything with too thin a review base to judge is labelled rather than quietly promoted.

Published

The short answer: for most people starting out, The Ultimate NFT Course 2026: Buy, Sell, Create & Trade NFTs by Joshua George, ClickSlice Ltd is the best single choice — 4.7 stars across 1,590 ratings and 11 hours covering buying, creating and selling. If you want the most-tested option instead of the highest-scoring one, NFT Fundamentals (Buy, Create and Sell NFTs) has by far the largest review base in the category.

Below, all ten are ranked with their weaknesses written out. Two things are worth saying before you spend anything.

First, on ratings. Sort any course marketplace by rating and the top of the list fills with 5.0s earned from two or three reviews. Those scores carry no information. Everything here is ranked by a rating weighted for sample size, and courses without enough reviews to judge are flagged rather than hidden — several appear in the table below precisely so you can see why they are not recommended.

Second, on what a course can do for you. A good NFT course will teach you wallets, token standards, marketplaces, minting and the security practices that stop you losing things. That is a real, learnable skill set and three hours with a competent instructor beats three weeks of scattered YouTube. No course will teach you to make money trading NFTs, and the market conditions many of these were written for have substantially gone — volume fell about 37% in 2025 to roughly $5.5 billion. Learn the technology. Treat the investment framing with scepticism.

    • Levy is a long-standing blockchain educator, not a 2021 NFT tourist

Investing For Beginners: The Complete Course

    Steve Ballinger, MBA · Udemy

    4.6 (1,900) 6 hours 51 lectures

Not an NFT course, and that is the point — it puts digital assets inside a normal portfolio rather than treating them as a separate universe.

    What works

    • Strong 4.6 across 1,900 ratings
    • Positions NFTs as one small, high-risk slice of investing
    • The most grounded framing on this page

    What to know

    • NFTs are a minor part of the syllabus
    • US-centric on accounts and tax

Best for: Anyone tempted to put money into NFTs before they have an investing framework.

Metaverse Fundamentals: Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and NFTs

    George Levy · Udemy

    4.6 (1,059) 2.5 hours 36 lectures

    What works

    • Same instructor quality as the category leader
    • Explains the links between the pieces rather than each in isolation

    What to know

    • The metaverse framing has dated faster than the NFT material
    • Overlaps with his NFT Fundamentals course

Best for: Someone who keeps hearing these four words together and wants them untangled.

Getting Started with NFTs, Polygon, Web3, Airdrops, Crypto

    Michael Jordan · Udemy

    4.5 (387) 1.5 hours

Ninety minutes, focused on Polygon — worth knowing because Polygon is where cheap minting actually happens.

    What works

    • Covers the low-gas chain most beginners should start on
    • Short and cheap
    • Decent 4.5 across a reasonable sample

    What to know

    • The airdrop material sits close to speculation
    • Ninety minutes cannot go deep

    • Covers both the creating and the buying side

NFT Crypto Master Class: Buy, Sell and Create NFTs

    Petko Zhivkov Aleksandrov · Udemy

    4.4 (1,304) 4.5 hours 42 lectures

Trading-oriented rather than art-oriented — useful if your interest is the market mechanics rather than the creative side.

    What works

    • Aleksandrov comes from a trading background and it shows
    • Practical walkthroughs of listing and pricing

    What to know

    • Framing is heavily investment-led; treat return claims with scepticism
    • Thin on the creator workflow

Best for: Someone approaching NFTs as a market rather than as art.

Create a 3D NFT Character in Blender 3D - Blender Basics

    Blender instructor · Udemy

    5.0 only 2 ratings 2 hours

A narrow, practical Blender tutorial. The 5.0 rating comes from only two reviews — treat it as unrated.

    What works

    • Teaches a concrete, transferable 3D skill
    • Blender itself is free

    What to know

    • Two ratings is not a rating — there is no quality signal here

How to choose between the top three

They are genuinely different products, and the right answer depends on you rather than on which scores highest.

  • Want one course to cover everything? Take the highest-ranked option. Eleven hours is a real commitment, but it covers buying, creating, trading and promotion without you needing to buy a second course.
  • Want the safest bet? Take the one with the largest review base. Nearly 8,000 people have rated it 4.6; that is about as strong a signal as this platform produces, and three hours is easy to actually finish.
  • Want to understand the machinery? Take the option that covers smart contracts and IPFS. Most beginner courses stop at "click mint"; this one explains what the click does.

Do this before you buy

  1. Check the last-updated date on Udemy itself. We cannot track it reliably, and in a subject where marketplace interfaces changed completely between 2021 and now, a course last touched three years ago will walk you through screens that no longer exist.
  2. Wait for the sale if there is not one running. There almost always is. Paying $64.99 for something that is $14.99 most weeks is avoidable.
  3. Watch the free preview lectures. Instructor delivery matters more than syllabus breadth over a ten-hour course, and you can judge it in five minutes.
  4. Remember the 30-day refund window. It exists and it works. Using it on a course that turns out to be wrong for you is entirely reasonable.

What none of these courses will give you

A profitable trading strategy. A guaranteed-to-sell-out collection launch. Access to "alpha". Where a course's marketing leans on those, the teaching is usually thinner than the promise — and the playbook from the 2021 cycle transfers badly to a market a fraction of that size. The courses that have aged best are the ones that taught how the technology works, because that part did not change.

Consider starting free

Everything on this site is free, and so is a great deal elsewhere. Our what are NFTs guide and beginner-to-competent roadmap cover most of what a $14 beginner course covers. Pay for a course when you want structure and someone walking you through it — not because you assume the free material is worse. Often it is not.

Common questions

What is the best NFT course overall?
The Ultimate NFT Course 2026: Buy, Sell, Create & Trade NFTs by Joshua George, ClickSlice Ltd — 4.7 stars across 1,590 ratings, 11 hours. It scores highest once ratings are weighted for how many people left them, and it covers buying, creating and selling in one place.
Are NFT courses worth paying for in 2026?
For the technology, yes — a structured 3–10 hours from a good instructor is a genuinely efficient way to learn wallets, standards and minting. For making money trading NFTs, no course can deliver that, and any that implies it should be treated with suspicion. NFT trading volume fell roughly 37% in 2025; the speculative conditions these courses were often written for no longer exist.
How much should an NFT course cost?
On Udemy, $11–15 during the near-permanent sales, against list prices of $20–75. Paying list price is almost never necessary — the discounts run most of the time. Anything above about $25 for a course in this category is hard to justify given what is available.
Why do you flag some courses as having thin review data?
Because a 5.0 rating from two reviews is not a rating. Several courses in this category display perfect scores based on a handful of ratings, which sits at the top of a naive sort and tells you nothing. We label them so you can weigh them properly instead of being misled by the star count.
Should I start with an NFT course or a blockchain course?
Blockchain first, if you have the time. Understanding wallets, keys, gas and what a transaction actually is makes every NFT course easier and stops you making expensive beginner errors. The most-reviewed blockchain course on the platform has over 47,000 ratings and runs three and a half hours.
